Final Exam Options

Currently there are three options available for taking the final exam.

  1. Take the exam in the privacy of your own home or at a community cyber café. This is the least monitored option. This option requires the student to assume the responsibility of exam completion. At the end of the exam a certificate of completion will appear on the screen. A document will only appear if the exam has been completed with 80% mastery. The certificate of completion can be printed out by the user. The certificate of completion can be used for class verification in certain situations. Make sure your situation allows for this option.

  2. Take the exam at a public or professional facility that provides some form of test proctoring. This option provides more security. It allows a student to take the exam and have a third party verify that the exam was taken. At the end of the exam a certificate of completion will appear on the screen. A document will only appear if the exam has been completed with 80% mastery. The certificate of completion can be printed out by the user in the presence of the proctor. The certificate of completion has a place for "student" to sign and a place for "witness" to sign. There is also a line that indicates the title of the witness. An additional space is provided so that the user can fill in the reason for taking the court. A witness can be the owner / operator of the cyber cafe, an invested third party such as a parole officer or counselor, or teacher. The certificate of completion can be used for class verification in certain situations. Make sure your situation allows for this option.

  3. Take the exam at a designated controlled site with a proctor present.
